Barely out of High School but already playing up a ‘storm’ on her violin! Sara Kim, is simply a ‘Natural.’

Her recent CD release, ‘Sara Kim Plays Popular Violin Favorites’, attests to this beyond the shadow of a doubt.

It becomes a rather different type of playing when a ‘higher force’ takes over. An impetus exceeding ‘personal opinion’, ‘interpretation’ and ‘conceptual artistic-ideology.’

Especially and particularly on the issue of how a piece of music is to be performed; and to be appreciated, likewise. This all tends to be quite subjective, after all.

Thus, in the final analysis, it is only perhaps when this ‘subjectivity’ cedes to a higher and much greater force, and is removed from the equation, when ‘true artistry’ can then flow unabated.

As promised, here are the long overdue excerpts of Sara’s wonderful gift of music to us all. Thank you, Sara!
Update!. . . . Sara recently graduated from high school  and is now an Ivy League Freshman at Princeton University.

She dropped by the studio last week to produce and help her equally talented brother, Jason, record a Cello solo.

It came out quite well . . . . .
